TIKTOK CONTENT TRENDS
Give these a whirl (and post them on other platforms too)
“MMHMM NOW THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT” AUDIO: This audio enables creators to highlight something that they really like or approve of. In the lens of politics, what’s highlighted with the audio, should be a win or a move/strategy/decision that they think has legs. The format is super simple and looks like this or this.
“IT’S FUN…” AUDIO: This audio offers an opportunity for creators to share a situation that’s not exactly fun, but they have to quasi-pretend like it is. Delegate Kayla Young nails the trend here, sharing what it’s like to be in a superminority. Given Dem positioning in most situations currently, the possibilities for the trend’s use are endless. When thinking about this trend overall, think of how it can show the imbalance of power dynamics and why the environment for getting things done [in a positive direction] is incredibly challenging.
“I HOPE YOU DON’T LOOK AT ME ANY DIFFERNTLY…” AUDIO: This audio shares a conversation between two, where one party says “I hope you don’t look at me any differently” and the other responds with “well I do.” The audio can thus be used to share a situation where someone you disagree with or that does something wild/insane/messed up, asks to work together or support them. A faux scenario [ATM] that pops to mind would be if MTG asked Rep. Crockett to partner on a bill, initiative, etc. Regardless of the particulars, the video’s format can look like this with text added to the video explaining the situation.
“WOW THAT’S A GREAT QUESTION” AUDIO: This audio is being used by creators to share a moment where they’ve been asked a question that they 1. Don’t want to answer and 2. Didn’t think anyone would ask. The audio can be used to highlight Republicans that are having their feet held to the fire on an issue or action, pointing to their attempts to get out of answering the question. To execute on it – use it over b-roll of the Republican speaking and add text to the video explaining the situation with the “POV” formula.
“I DON’T HAVE TO SWEETEN MY DELIVERY TO MAKE IT WORK FOR TODD” AUDIO: This audio has creators illustrating scenarios in which someone has told them to make their “delivery” nicer. For any electeds or candidates that have been told to soften their message, this audio provides a way to explain that experience and your “no way am I doing that” retort.
Editor’s Note: For our content creator readers, keep an eye out for Cory Booker audios - save, share, use. They’ll be continuing to roll out throughout the week as the clips of his Senate speech go live.

INSTAGRAM TRENDS
Creative content concepts to try
“GET ME TO GOD’S COUNTRY” MEME TREND: To catch you up, infamously problematic but quasi talented country singer, Morgan Wallen went on SNL. At the show’s close, he prematurely left the stage and then proceeded to post on social media “get me to God’s country” as if he doesn’t live in the shining beacon of liberalism in Tennessee known as Nashville. Anyways, the result of the fuss is that it’s turned into a meme. Creators are sharing their variation of “God’s Country” across all social channels in different forms. On Instagram, it’s by using a static image of their version of “God’s Country” and writing on the image “get me to God’s Country.” It’s simply silly – and the Senate subway could be an example, or a restaurant of note.
→ As for Threads, Bluesky, and X, the trend is being used like this, in a similar fashion. The formula: “Get me to God’s Country” is the text + an image.
“I TOLD YOU SO” AUDIO: This audio can be used solo or with two people, to illustrate a “told you so” moment. It can be a positive or negative “told you so” – whatever fits the moment [obvi we’re hoping for more positive than negative]. For the solo path, this Reel will give you an idea of possible formats.
“BLAH BLAH BLAH” AUDIO: This seal going nuts at the Mystic Aquarium has produced an audio that can be used a few ways, namely:
…to share a moment where you have absolutely popped off, yapping all day/night long
…to share a moment where someone shared or is sharing a whole load of BS
The Reel can be used over b-roll or feature the account’s principal. Text should be added directly to the video to explain what’s being yapped about.
