TIKTOK CONTENT TRENDS
Give these a whirl (and post them on Reels + Shorts)
“NO ONE GETS MORE UPSET THAN A MAN…” AUDIO: This audio, which goes “no one gets more upset than a man accused of something that he’s actually done,” is great for TikTok’s that point out a man having a meltdown over something that his own actions did. The video concept that can be created most seamlessly is one that features b-roll video of the man having a meltdown with either a headline describing the meltdown or a tweet/thread/Bluesky post that does so.
“EAST COAST SUMMERS” AUDIO: This audio is also included in the section below because it has multiple use cases. In trend use case scenarios, it can be paired with b-roll scenes from an idyllic east coast summer, illustrating why east coast summers are the best. For an elected, a candidate, or an org that works on coastal issues, this trend adjusted to “east coast summers brought to you by “XYZ policy” that makes it possible.” For example, you’re a state rep that passed a bill to protect certain beaches from erosion – the post would be b-roll of those beaches + the audio + text on the video like so “an east coast summer in Chatham, Cape Cod brought to by the beach erosion protection act.”
“HAMILTON” MEME: This historical image is being paired with this tune from Hamilton to share relatable moments with your crew/group chat/clique, etc. Of course, the image itself is innately political, but its meme version emerges at the intersection of pop culture and politics. To use this meme as a politico, a few ideas to consider:
“XYZ caucus brainstorming the best way to tackle XYZ issue”
“XYZ county Dems counting signatures during petitioning”
“Me and the girls double checking that free speech was included in the constitution”
“AGE DIFFERENCE” AUDIO: This audio is straight from the archive of classic Real Housewives lines that never quite age. It enables two creators with a slight age difference to poke fun at one another for their age difference friendship. This could also be used by elected official or candidate bestie pairs that have large age differences, making light fun of their multi-generational bestie dynamic. The thesis of the video should really be giving people the behind the scenes on which electeds are friends with one another or at the very least work well together.

INSTAGRAM TRENDS
Creative content concepts to try
“SOMETIMES I FORGET THIS IS THE WHOLE POINT” TREND: This trend has creators sharing a Reel [or TikTok] that’s composed of b-roll capturing their favorite moments that embody the idea that essentially “those moments are what we all work toward.” The resulting video really highlights what’s important to the creator. This could translate easily to a political application with a post highlighting either a positive end result, the process of achieving an end result, unity amongst a group, and so on. Use this audio to make it happen and simply add “sometimes I forget this is the whole point” via text to the video.
“THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ME & YOU” AUDIO: This audio creates an opportunity to share what an opponent does [aka nothing] on an issue, versus what you do on an issue [actually works toward solving it]. The compare-contrast style video can be filmed by the creator like this, and then paired with text on the video timed at duration 1 [describes the opponent] and duration 2 [describes what the creator is doing]. In addition, a simple POV-style video like this could also get the point across.
