TIKTOK CONTENT TRENDS
Give these a whirl (and post them on other platforms too)
“YOU SHOULD GET THE ORANGE SODA” TREND: This audio depicts a situation where someone recommends “the orange soda and endorses it” and then those that have been given that advice, order something different. It’s a situation that could be emblematic of people telling peers to vote for Dems in 2024 and those people doing the opposite. To execute on the trend, it will require four people to play the four “audio roles” as seen with this TikTok. Text would then be added to the video “per role” illustrating the recommendation versus the action taken.
“ACCOMPLISHMENT GOES HERE” TREND: The example for this trend actually comes from an elected official in Florida, as seen here. In the video, a sticky note can be seen on an office wall, with the verbiage on the sticky note indicating what it is a placeholder for. Midway through the video, the TikTok transitions to the placeholder becoming reality. While of course this could be used to show an academic accomplishment, the trend can also be used to highlight a work accomplishment, the meeting of someone on your political bucket list, a community service award, and so on.
“I’M NOT THE FUCKING ONE” AUDIO: Bran’s audio from this podcast clip is going viral. The audio illustrates a situation where you’re done with the bullshit and someone is trying you. It can be used politically of course to highlight a situation where an opposition member or the opposition at-large is trying you over an issue area, etc. The video format can be a lip-syncing video with the creator either sitting or walking toward the camera. The issue the creator is “being tried over” can be added to the screen with text or with a sticker image. For the text, the formula could go like this: “when the XYZ state GOP tries to gerrymander me out of my district.”
“OH PRINCESS WHERE ARE YOU” AUDIO: This audio has been popular with creators modeling what it’s like to look for their friend’s locations via Find My Friends, as seen here. It can be also used to highlight these situations:
Constituents looking for their reps that are refusing to do town halls or are leaving early
Constituents looking for their reps who aren’t picking up calls
Constituents looking for JD Vance

INSTAGRAM TRENDS
Creative content concepts to try
“SHOW ME THE REASON YOU HAVE NO MONEY” TREND: This trend has creators sharing the “reason” they have no money, with the reason often being a hobby, a type of product buy, a big purchase etc. In this environment, the reason could be Elon Musk, Donald Trump, DOGE, and others that are implementing policies that are crashing the economy, and thus leaving people without jobs or money. Use this audio to make the trend come to life.
“WHAT’S BEEN ON YOUR MIND LATELY” TREND: This trend uses b-roll and one line of text – “what’s been on your mind lately” imposed on the Reel – to share what a creator has been dreaming of/thinking of lately. Utilize b-roll from relevant political events with this format, and this audio, to illustrate to your audience what’s been taking up brain space.
“SPRING MOOD BOARD” TREND: Similar to the trend above, this one uses b-roll and one line of text +emojis – “spring mood board” to highlight what is on a creator’s “spring mood board.” This can feature what’s on a creator’s political spring mood board aka goals they want to achieve. This can also be done in a meme/carousel style post.
