“I’M NOT HERE TO SAY I TOLD YOU SO” AUDIO: CasaDi, the audio remixers of the Dem side of the internet are back in the saddle and dropping new releases. The latest is this gem of an audio, which features former VP Harris’ recent speech at the Leading Women Define Summit, where she dropped a “told you so” on the current political state of the world. The audio can be used…

  • …with a carousel of headlines validating her “told you so” point

  • …with a video post like this, featuring a sticker image of a headline that also proves her point

  • …with a video post, featuring multiple sticker images of multiple headlines building upon one another,  that also prove her point

  • …over video footage that proves her point [has to be video that without its audio makes sense to the viewer]

“CHESS NOT CHECKERS” AUDIO: This creator’s video on Trump supporters making claims that he’s playing “chess not checkers” when they don’t even know how to play either of those games, is more than just iconic, it also provided a usable audio. The audio can be used…

  • …with a carousel of headlines or quotes from Trump billionaire/finance allies decrying how dumb this economic plan is

  • …over video footage of the economy crashing out

“ALL YOU NEED IN LIFE IS A HOT GF & A LABOR UNION” AUDIO: This creator dropped a zinger with this audio that simply goes “all you need in life is a hot girlfriend and a labor union.” This audio can be used by truly anyone that fits that bill. The caption for the resulting video can include details on the benefits of labor unions at-large or a specific one. The video itself can follow a similar format to the creator’s video or be b-roll footage of the video’s principal attending a labor union rally/event with their significant other.

“ARE YOU GOING TO TELL ME WHAT’S GOING ON” AUDIO: This audio features a faux phone call where one participant asks “are you going to tell me what’s going on” and the second participant responds with “I would but I think explaining it might give us both an aneurysm.” It embodies the current mood and news cycle. And with that it can be used to share one of those insane happenings. For the video’s style, it can be two-person/participants like this one or solo like this with the news story’s headline written out on the video.

“PROBABLY NEEDED A HUG” TREND: This trend has creators sharing a moment where they probably needed a hug to solve their problems, but they went a different route, like making a martini or going shopping. The trend is being done with video and carousel styles. It can be used to share political contrasts in a positive or negative light – choose your own adventure:

  • POSITIVE: “Probably needed a hug but I introduced XYZ bill to solve XYZ problem” (the problem is why they needed the hug)

  • NEGATIVE: “Probably needed a huge XYZ ran for office” (a person that clearly needs therapy not power)

Creative content concepts to try

“GIRLS WILL BE LIKE I NEEDED THIS” TREND: Creators have been posting Reels (and TikToks) like this, pairing a setting-style video with something that girls say that they needed and then got (to their relief). For the male subscribers of this newsletter, this is a female phenomenon where anytime we have a good time or enjoy something, we say to our friends “I needed this.” It’s kind of like a therapy dupe? Anyways, in the political context, the videos would take on the same style – setting video + text on screen. A few examples of concepts that could be used:

  • “Girls will be like I need this and it’s just fundamental rights”

  • “Girls will be like I need this and it’s just bodily autonomy”

  • “Girls will be like I need this and it’s just the right to vote”

“GOD FORBID I I HAVE A HOBBY” TREND: This trend has creators pointing to a behavior/action they do that’s not necessarily kosher, but since they spend a lot of time doing it, it kind of qualifies as a hobby [like someone stalking their ex on IG]. The video style looks like this and utilizes this audio. The text on screen formula is

  • “How do you” + what your “hobby” is

  • “Okay, God forbid a girl have a hobby” or “Okay, God forbid I have a hobby”

This trend can be used to point fun at an opponent whose “hobby” is actually a little insane or at the very least unhelpful to voters. It can also be used to point to a silly hobby you do actually have.
