TIKTOK CONTENT TRENDS
Give these a whirl
“AN INCEL BEING AN INCEL” AUDIO: This one feels strange to write, but here we are. Nick Fuentes went on a rant where his words were “your body, my choice.” Ya…. so, women are reacting on social like this and otherwise sharing how horrible his words are. To create a TikTok reacting to it, the audio can be found here.
“JUST DON’T BRING UP POLITICS” TREND: This is a carousel trend that sends a message [or two]. The first slide has two women in it – think besties pick like seen here. Text is added with “just don’t bring up politics.” The second slide is a pic of VP Harris and Hillary Clinton together.
“FUCK DONALD TRUMP” AUDIO: This audio aka song is BACK. Did it ever really leave? Eh, that’s up for debate. Regardless, you can use the audio to share your thoughts and feels on the president-elect by integrating it into lifestyle content like so or like this. It can also be used in conjunction with a carousel post sharing heinous things he’s done so far this time around, and saved for a day when he inevitably does more heinous things.
“LET’S GET THE PARTY STARTED” AUDIO: This audio is in the hope core category. We envision it being used by two Dem colleagues about to get something done with a vote, a hearing, a press conference etc. The visual, like this, is that they’re pumping themselves up. And the takeaway, which would be added via text to the video + the caption would be the viewer being in the know about what they’re pumping themselves up for.
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN?” AUDIO: This Bieber song is coming out of the vault with creators using it to point holes in someone’s political argument. This TikTok on how someone that voted for Trump because of the economy despite him bankrupting a casino is a great stylistic example to follow. Find a hole in an argument like this? Use this style video to share it.
‘I’M SICK AND TIRED OF MEN TELLING WOMEN WHAT TO DO WITH THEIR BODIES” AUDIO: This grandma is sick of the men. Her quote: “I’m sick and tired of these men telling women what to do with their bodies. We should castrate all of them.” is available to use as an audio. Make a TikTok with it and make a point.
“I AM NOT AS MEAN AS I WOULD LIKE TO BE” AUDIO: For all the situations now and over the next four years, where you have to hold the mean to get something done – remember this audio. Perhaps even use it in a TikTok like this to share your feels on the current political landscape.
CAPCUT TEMPlATES
Give ‘em a whirl
Use this template to highlight how voters didn’t learn anything from the disasters and dangers of the Trump Admin. the first time around by electing him again.
Use this template to share a political move that’s unbelievably bad that people should know about.
Use this template to highlight what some new-elects want in reality – chaos. Connect it to a specific issue area they’re bringing or plan to bring the chaos to.
Use this template to share an action you’re taking that you want to be demure about, but you also want others to join in on.
Use this template to share something positive happening or that has been accomplished politically that you love.
STITCH THESE TIKTOKS
Jump into the convo
Stitch this video [even better if you’re an elected official that will be pushing back against the Trump Admin].
Stitch this video after “what baffles me so much” and share another thing that baffles you about Trump winning.
Stitch this video after “you know what I’m looking forward to the most” and share something sarcastically that you’re looking forward to that’s going to be an insane disaster as a result of the incoming admin.
INSTAGRAM TRENDS
Creative content concepts to try
“I HAVE 99 PROBLEMS” TREND: This audio highlights an experience where one person has 99 problems on their own, and when they engage with a particular person/group, they suddenly have 100 problems. In politics, the cause of that additional problem could range from a fellow elected official or an organization. Use the trend to point the problem-causer out. We’ll note that the original format for the trend includes two people i.e. a duo. In this application, it’ll likely involve one person and an image of the problem causer in lieu of IRL participation.
“NO I DON’T HAVE A DIARY” TREND: This trend has creators sharing that they don’t have a physical diary, but they do have a bestie/confidant that acts as one, as illustrated with this Reel. Two political besties could show their unity by doing this trend. It could also be used with a larger group, like a caucus. Either way, use this audio to make the Reel come to life.
“WHEN I SAID THAT YOU’RE NOT SPECIAL…” AUDIO: The audio literally goes “When I said that you’re not special, I meant that.” Use this audio to back up a take that you shared about an opponent that gets all bent out of shape at that take [because it’s true]. Style-wise for the video, we recommend something like this Reel.
“THEY BE LIKE…” TREND: First, watch this example of the trend we’re going to describe. Find an absurd excuse a group makes for a behavior or view. Then use this audio to create a Reel, where on the video you name that out, and what it really translates to – share that reality.
“WOMEN HAVING COMPLEX FEELINGS ABOUT HAVING CHILDREN” TREND: This trend shares the difference between women and men thinking about the possibility of having children. So real. Participate in the trend, and up the ante with the politics, sharing more reasons in the first half [the woman’s POV] as to why having a baby requires deep thought [ex: abortion bans, miscarriages, etc]. Use this audio for the Reel’s base.
“SOMETHING YOU REALIZE WHEN YOU GET OLDER” TREND: This Reels trend has creators using this audio to share an experience that they thought was cool as a younger person, but as they’ve gotten older they now see how messed up that experience actually was and/or the intentions of those that were a part of that experience. Make it personal or connect it to a person in politics.
