TIKTOK CONTENT TRENDS
Give these a whirl
“A NORMAL PERSON PROBABLY WOULD’VE LET THAT GO” AUDIO: Use this audio to create a TikTok that shares something political that you’re ‘letting go off’ or ‘getting over.’ It can be a behavior, reaction, and so on that has been happening in a corner of the political world or broadly across it all. This style of video with text added in this formula “are you ever going to get over + XYZ political behavior or situation” works perfectly.
“DID THEY HAVE BRAINS OR NOT” AUDIO: Use this audio to highlight a situation where people have been or are being incredibly stupid, point blank. For an org, this is an easy content piece to take on – for an elected, we’d rec utilizing it only if ‘being messy’ is a part of your brand. For the visual piece of the TikTok, this creator’s video and this creator’s video, provide an idea of what it should or could look like.
“BERMUDA TIME TRAVELING” AUDIO: This audio poses the question, “what if those that get lost in the Bermuda Triangle are time traveling?” followed by the sarcastic retort of “what if?” Use that premise to create a video to point an unlikely “what if” situation in politics, like this creator expertly did.
“WHAT DO WE DO ABOUT…” AUDIO: Use this audio to share an issue that needs solving, and two solutions to consider for it. To bring this concept to life, film a video mimicking the verbiage and add the “issue” and the “solutions” via text on the video at the appropriate durations of the audio.

INSTAGRAM TRENDS
Creative content concepts to try
“CAN’T BACK DOWN” AUDIO: This audio can be used to highlight a situation you and colleagues are not backing down about. It can be an overall issue area, it can be a specific policy or amendment – whatever you will not budge an inch on. For the visuals, we see this audio being used over video footage of the politicos speaking at a mic [could be a presser, a hearing, etc] or to a crowd, with text added to the video in the format, “when they say the fight for XYZ issue is over, we say we won’t back down.”
“AGE GAP” AUDIO: If there’s one category of audios and trends that keeps on pumping them, it’s the age gap category. The age gap category aims to show the comical differences between two friends or colleagues that are different ages. It’s kind of in the “unexpected but cool friendships” category. This audio fits right into that mold, and can be used to show the dynamic between a new, younger member of Congress and an older one that’s more of a veteran. It can of course be applied to other bodies of gov. Its goal should be connecting the dots between two people working together, where the audience may know one of the people but not both, thus expanding their info wheel.
“DIRTY CASH, MONEY TALKS” AUDIO: There’s a lot of dirty cash in politics. Use this audio to point out some of its sources, highlighting information available on Open Secrets and/or similar platforms. This can be used over a carousel of graphics/info on it, or with a Reel that has its creator use image stickers to point out a sleuth of sources.
“OMG WE WERE THINKING THE EXACT SAME THING” AUDIO: We’re dusting this audio off from retirement, because really it’s kind of evergreen. Use this audio with a colleague to share how you have the same solution to a political problem. Number one on the example list for that is co-sponsoring a bill together. For the Reel itself, this style works great. For the text element, swap in the political issue + solution – keep it as short n’ sweet as possible.
