TIKTOK CONTENT TRENDS
Give these a whirl (and post them on Reels & Shorts too)
“IF YOU EVER THINK ABOUT ME” TREND: This trend, which can be done with video or a static post, uses this audio, which is at the core of the whole trend. The audio goes “if you ever think about me” and is thus used as the jumping off point for creators to share anywhere from 6-15 idiosyncrasies/preferences/things about them that should remind someone of them. It can be a mixture of whatever you want it to be - a little bit of politics, a lot a bit of politics, a mix of pop culture – creator’s choice.
“SNAP OUT OF IT” AUDIO: This audio can be used to share a bad idea that’s headed right for disaster that’s shared with you, and your reaction to that person is essentially that they need to “snap out of it.” The idea can even be a well-meaning one, but it’s one that you’d warn incessantly about. Stylistically-speaking, this video is a great example to follow – it is a lip-syncing trend, but a simple one at that.
“IT IS STUPID OR SLOW” AUDIO: Sabrina Carpenter is back with a new diss track on her ex Barry, and it’s titled “man-child.” In the song, there’s a line that goes like this: “is it stupid or is it slow,” which can be cut from this audio. That audio can then be used to make a lip-syncing-style video like this that points out something that’s beyond idiotic that people are saying or doing.

INSTAGRAM TRENDS
Creative content concepts to try
“FRESH OUT THE SLAMMER” TREND: This trend has creators sharing what they’re stuck doing the majority of the time in contrast with what they will be doing the second they’re “free” from an obligation they don’t love. In the majority of the contexts, the obligation is work, like seen here, and the contrasting activity is getting dinner with the girls. The trend can be used with different contexts as well, but should all have the goal of emphasizing the positive activity the creator gets to do that gives them joy and the people they do it with – think: an opportunity to show who in the political space is friends with one another. To do the trend, use this audio, b-roll of the “positive activity,” and text on the video using this formula:
Fresh out the slammer [this should be larger in font]
[DESCRIBE THE OBLIGATION]
I know who my first call out be [this should be larger in font]
[DESCRIBE THE POSITIVE AND THE DESIRED PARTICIPANTS]
“HE SAID “WE’LL SEE” TREND: This trend has creators - mostly women - sharing a moment where they’d proposed a travel plan to their partner, and the partner had responded with “we’ll see” and the creator’s response is them, solo, at the destination saying “now he’ll see it on my IG stories.” In other words, the creator was not waiting around for a man to get on board. In the political lens, this trend could be evolved to share a situation where a person shared skepticism/doubt about a candidate being able to run for office, win a case, and so on. With this lens, an example post, would have b-roll of the person achieving a win someone didn’t think they could achieve, this audio, and text like this on the video:
“he said we’ll see about you winning that primary”
“now he sees it on his news feed”
“THINGS I’LL NEVER SAY NO TO” TREND: This trend can be adapted to share policies or concepts that a candidate or elected would never say no to. Using this audio, a candidate/elected can be filmed with a white board that shares a policy position they’ll never say no to or utilize posters that do the same thing; ideally 3-4 positions are shown throughout the video. For another route, a b-roll video with text added sharing the positions could also be workable as long as the b-roll is visually relevant to policy positions shared.
“WHAT DO YOU THINK I’M GOING TO SAY TO YOU” AUDIO: TBH, this audio was made for Gavin Newsom in this moment. The audio shares a conversation where one person poses the question, “what do you think I’m going to say to you?” and the other responds with “no?” – which is the answer. To apply this to other political conversations, where a question is asked but an answer is already known, have the principal for the video filmed on the phone “clearly in conversation” and then add text to the video sharing who they’re speaking with and what about. Use the caption to further elaborate on why the principal’s answer is of course, “no.”
