TIKTOK CONTENT TRENDS
Give these a whirl (and post them on other platforms too)
“SUNDAY CHURCH” TREND: This trend has creators like this one sharing their variation of “Sunday church.” And to clarify, not actual church - the “Sunday church” is supposed to be emblematic of things you do to reset, center yourself, and take joy. The trend is made possible with b-roll of those little Sunday moments that create that essence, this audio, and a tiny bit of text on the video reading "Sunday church.” For a local or state leg candidate, this would be a way to show tidbits you take joy in that are a part of the area that you’re running in.
“PUT A TARIFF IN AND A TARIFF OUT” AUDIO: This comedian turned a classic kids song into this absolute bop about what tariffs are doing to the market. It can be used with a carousel of images of the state of the market. A creator can also bop along to the beat in a video-format, using either text or a sticker image to share more details on the impact of these tariffs. And for the politico that’s about to be interviewed on the fallout of these tariffs on constituents/voters, they can create a “before” video that shows them getting ready for the interview while listening to this song.
“THERE’S A TODDLER RUNNING OUR COUNTRY” AUDIO: This podcaster has the read on Elon – a toddler with a chainsaw who is effectively running this country. The audio can be used a few ways like…
…over videos of Elon, connecting the dots directly.
…with a carousel of images that share his toddler-esque behavior.
…a video that shows a reaction to his behavior by an elected official with the audio overlaid.
“YOU’RE AN IDIOT” AUDIO: This cut of the ever-viral Gracie Abrams song enables creators to point out someone that they think is an idiot and share someone/a group of people that they would warn about said idiot. The creator should lipsync the words to the audio and then add who the “idiot” is and who the “they” is that they’re warning, on to the video via text. Elaboration on the “why” can be done in the caption.
“WHAT DOES FASHION MEAN TO YOU” AUDIO: This audio provides the ask and answer to the question “what does fashion mean to you.” It can be used to show an outfit that has power and symbolism engrained in it – it’s a statement in and of itself. The style can be simple – a “silent fit check” format with the audio running over it. The caption should be used to explain what the outfit is for and any historical references that might be of interest/good to know about integrated into it.

Creative content concepts to try
“PATIENTLY WAITING” AUDIO: This audio is being used by creators to show a situation where they're just “patiently” waiting for something to happen – the life version of the “beat to drop.” Politically, it could be used to point out a group or person that’s moving way too slowly for a situation/scenario/reality. To make the video, the creator should be filmed [sitting or standing] looking peeved and in waiting for something. The thing they’re waiting for should be written in text on the video. Any CTAs can then be added to the caption.
“THE FEMININE URGE TO…” TREND: This trend is being used by creators to show something that they had the “feminine urge to do.” The definition of feminine in this lens is whatever you want to do, that’s what it is. The trend can apply to running for office or any range of political career moves. Use b-roll, this audio, one line of text on the video following this formula: “the feminine urge to XYZ.”
“OPEN AND HONEST” AUDIO: This snippy audio can be used to take claim of a quote that came from an elected or other thought leader that the talking heads of the political universe are questioning. The style can be the creator lip-syncing the audio with a screenshot image of the quote superimposed onto the video. The caption should be a witty clap-back.
